Oh, the joys of pickleball! Who could imagine a more delightful sport? My children and I have such a laugh when we play. I am not very good at it but can’t help my competitive behavior. A friend of mine approached me last year and asked me if I would be her partner in a competitive pickleball league. Of course, I said, but how do we rate ourselves for this league. She and I decided that because we are both tennis 4.0’s, that we should definitely be 4.0 pickleball players. Oh, how wrong we were!
We competed against former ping pong champions, dinking professionals, kitchen experts, and slicing maniacs. I didn’t even know that you could slice with a pickleball paddle.
Well, I am finally over that experience, a year later, and still enjoy playing pickleball on the side. Kudos to you all who are so good at this sport!
